Upper East Side | UBIQ New York

Upper East Side

Among the most well known neighborhoods, it houses the most affluent professionals in the city, the biggest park in the city, fancy designer boutiques, prestigious prep schools, luxury buildings with marble foyer, uniformed doormen and curbside service. While real estate on Park Ave and 5th Ave is very expensive, prices, especially for rentals, decrease the more you move away from the park.

Where Is

The Locals

Mostly affluent families, celebrities and businessmen and longtime New Yorkers in the western side and young people in their 20s and 30s in Yorkville. More and more young out of towners are moving to the UES, attracted by the proximity to the park and the relative quiet that enwraps the streets at night.

What's to Love

Unlike lower Manhattan, properties are generally bigger and rooms more spacious, and playtime in Central Park common. Bonus, your dog will love it. Cultural events, boutiques and museums are abundant and there are incredible fine restaurants. UES will give you the feeling than NYC is at your fingertips.

What's Not to Expect

Easy commute downtown or any kind of nightlife.

Upper East Side Look & Feel

Luxury buildings, doormen, bellhops, carriages shuttling tourists around and luxury cars with drivers parked on the street waiting for their clients, old powdered ladies wearing Ferragamo shoes and scarfs. Sleek, chic and posh with fancy and expensive luxury buildings West of Lexington and more affordable young-friendly properties the closer you move to the waterfront.
