Tucked to the western edge of Brooklyn underneath Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill features a combination of picturesque neighborhood beauty and classic New York feel that is unique and hard to find elsewhere. From the beautiful brownstone apartments to the cobblestoned streets and easy walk to the Brooklyn Waterfront and Promenade, Cobble Hill is a well-loved neighborhood that feels almost like a secret gem. Similar to sister neighborhoods Carroll Gardens and Boerum Hill in many ways, Cobble Hill is more tucked away than either but equally a favorite destination for both those making their a move out of Manhattan or improve their standing within Brooklyn.

What's to Love

Cobble Hill is quaint and beautiful neighborhood Brooklyn at its peak, with a combination of desirable buildings, hidden away comfort, good availability of food and drink, and easy transport to lower Manhattan.

What's Not to Expect

Despite the easy access to restaurants and bars, it’s a relatively quiet neighborhood lacking in nightlife activity. The main transportation line to Manhattan relies on the F line, so getting to certain areas may be less convenient; the western edge is further away from the trains.

Cobble Hill Look & Feel

Cobble Hill is a gorgeous neighborhood with tree-lined streets and a secreted away, calm, relaxed feel. There are abundant brownstones (though not as many as Park Slope) and other beautiful, unique apartment offerings along with a smattering of new high-rises. Atlantic Ave, Smith & Court Street thoroughfares serve the neighborhood with shops, bars and restaurants aplenty.

Great Eats Cool Drinks & Nights Out & Entertainment

Cobble Hill’s thoroughfares of Smith & Court Streets offer nice, varied options for eating out, and with quick access to additional options in nearby Boerum Hill and Carroll Gardens.

Parks & Rec

The closest park to Cobble Hill is the nearby Brooklyn waterfront park system, which has expanded in recent years to provide a huge offering of ball fields, volleyball courts, grassy areas and open space.

Guest Lodging

Hotel options outside of Manhattan are considerably more limited and Cobble Hill technically has no hotels within its bounds. The NU Hotel is neaby and the EVEN Hotel and a Holiday Inn Express are a few blocks further east from the neighborhood’s border.

Public Transportation

Cobble Hill is served by the F and G trains along the eastern border; the western edges are a lengthy walk to train station options..

Car Travel

Newer buildings may include private garages for parking, but Cobble Hill also features street parking everywhere, as well as a more limited selection of private garages.

Green cabs for passenger pickup are also readily available just about anywhere.
