Midtown West is right in the heart of the action, with easy access to Broadway theatre, the biggest concert venues, movie theatres and more. Times Square is like nothing else in the world, and there are plenty of affordable walk-up apartments in Hell’s Kitchen for those bargain-hunting. Plus there’s a near 24-hour nightlife that just never stops.

Midtown West makes up the neighborhoods in midtown from 29th to 59th street of the Theatre District and from 6th Ave to the Hudson River. Toward 6th Ave, skyscrapers and business lead the way, and the neighborhood feelings arises west of 8th avenue. Overall though, the presence of Times Square and Broadway trumps everything.

Parks & Rec

There are no parks in Midtown West, except the Hudson River Greenway running along the western border. And of course, Central Park isn’t that far away either.

Midtown on both sides is where the vast majority of New York’s hotels are located and there are plenty of options from budget level to the five stars. There are too many to count, but some top picks include the Hilton, Disktrict, Moderne and Sheraton Times Square.

Public Transportation

The 7, A/C/E & B/D/F/M trains serve the central and eastern part of Midtown West well, making it easy to get north and south and across town. The west side however, has no trains and as a result, buses are used far more heavily here than other parts of Manhattan.

Car Travel

There is no non-commercial street parking in Midtown West during the week, so car owners must garage their vehicles or find somewhere else to park them.

Yellow cabs for passenger pickup are also readily available just about anywhere.
