Park Slope

Perhaps no NYC neighborhood is more synonymous with brownstones and families than Park Slope, where both can be found in great abundance. With those gorgeous brownstones, close access to Prospect Park, a low crime rate and excellent public schools, Park Slope is perfect home for most people who have or looking to start a family.

Where Is

The Locals

Families, brownstone lovers and those looking for more space.

What's to Love

Park Slope exudes a feeling of calmness and serenity for those who live there, which is why strollers are plentiful. The wide, tree-lined streets provide a picturesque vision of “neighborhood Brooklyn.” Prospect Park, the city’s second biggest, runs the eastern border of the neighborhood. And the public schools are among the city’s best to offer.

What's Not to Expect

The streets are quieter at night here with less nightlife than other areas, though there are still bars for socializing. Subway access is good, but it is far from Manhattan and commutes can take up to 45 minutes to lower Manhattan.

Park Slope Look & Feel

Park Slope is truly picturesque with its rows of brownstones and wide, welcoming streets. A number of the avenues function as commercial thoroughfares and the bisecting streets as safe, tree-lined residential areas. Strollers are abundant everywhere.

Great Eats Cool Drinks & Nights Out & Entertainment

Park Slope has a wide variety of eating options, from high-end to every day, and unlike restaurants in many neighborhoods, accommodations for stroller parking are frequently provided.
